Meet The Presenters:
Tom Cogan
Regional Senior Vice President  Meltzer Group
Tom is currently the Senior Regional Vice President of NFP for the Mid-Atlantic market and he leads a benefits consulting team of 150 employees through 8 offices. Prior to being acquired by NFP, Tom served at President of The Meltzer Group. As the President of Meltzer Group Benefits, Tom was instrumental in building and growing the benefits division, expanding its capabilities, and enhancing their technology and scope of services. The benefits division continued to grow between 10% and 15% year over year while maintaining a client retention rate of over 98%.

Tom joined The Meltzer Group in 2005 after spending 15 years at Mid Atlantic Medical Services, Inc. (MAMSI), and UnitedHealthcare. While at UnitedHealthcare, he was President of the Large Group division and managed a team of more than 40 people responsible for all new and renewing large group business in the Washington metropolitan area.
Nick Conway

Nick oversees business analytics for Valued Pharmacy Services touching all areas of the company from Sales to Account Services. Nick joined VPS in 2010 and has grown with the company occupying several roles including Pharmacy Relations, Account Management and Director of Analytics.
Nick currently oversees RFP procurement, client proposals, audits and technology for our many platforms. He and the Analytics Team develop custom solutions for over 250 clients and prospects per year.

Prior to joining VPS, Nick was a commercial insurance broker at one of the oldest insurance agencies in the US, The Crane Agency.

Nick graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2009 with a B.A. Risk Managment and Insurance.

Lisa Youngblood, MBA

Lisa joined VPS in September, 2017 bringing with her a combined 16 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and pharmacy benefit management industry. 

 As a member of the VPS executive team, Lisa is responsible for leading the account management, clinical consultation and pharmacy analytics teams that support VPS clients. In addition, Lisa is instrumental in the development of VPS programs and services to help our clients better manage their pharmacy benefit costs while delivering personalized member care.
Julia Moreno
Vice President, Human Resources Operation

Julia has over 20 years of HR management experience including benefits management, HRIS management and total rewards. Experience implementing new total reward programs to developing complete HR communication strategies company-wide. Extensive experience working with all levels of an organization on domestic, international and executive benefits. Policy development, budget management, oversight of governance, risk and compliance, vendor management and process administration are key strengths.
 
Julia is currently VP, HR Operations with responsibilities for Compensation, Benefits, HRIS and Shared Services at PenFed Credit Union, an employer with 2,500 employees across the U.S., headquartered in McLean, Virginia. Julia graduated with a business administration degree from Marymount University and brings with her today over 25 years of comprehensive HR experience. In the past 24 months, Julia has been part of a team that has successfully negotiated and secured savings in excess of $3M to benefits spend. Her experience is across different industries including government contracting, information services, technology and non-profit organizations.

Nelly Rose, PharmD
Clinical Pharmacy Consultant

Nelly joined VPS in November 2017, bringing with her over 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry. She has practiced as a pharmacist in hospital, community pharmacy and PBM settings. Before joining VPS, Nelly was part of a clinical pharmacy team at Magellan Health specializing in Medicare trend and drug utilization management.

In addition to her PBM experience, Nelly was a Pharmacy Manager for Schnucks Markets, where she launched a community pharmacy encompassing both patient-focused care and counseling. Nelly’s impact in the community earned her two awards, the “World Class Neighbor” and “Donald O. Schnuck Award” for extensive patient care and leadership, as well as, a full-page feature in “Adult Living” Magazine.

Nelly supports VPS with clinical insights, new initiatives, and provides strategic analysis for drug trends and utilization. She also works directly with members to support and educate on clinical programs and drug interventions.
 
Nelly received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
